Old San Juan I fell in love with the Old San Juan when I was a kid and took every opportunity to go back often. The place is magical! There are rows upon rows of Colonial homes with open balconies, all adorned with beautiful flowers, on cobble stone roads on a maze-like hamlet. Old San Juan also has castles and the coolest sentry outposts all along the coast, deep in the gulf. It's a great playground! There are hidden Victorian gardens... Even the cemetery is a morbidly whimsical place, sitting atop a hill over the sea, and containing some of the most gloriously decorated mausoleums. The history and the legends make for a fairy tale setting, colorful and fun.
