Luis Muñon Marín
International Airport is Puerto Rico's
main airport. It is located at the Isla Verde sector of Carolina
Puerto Rico, minutes away from Isla Verde's tourist hotel area. It is
also very close to the San Juan Metropolitan area, including the
tourist hotels in the Condado and Old San Juan sectors. The airport is
the busiest in the Caribbean and is a focal point for travel to many of
the world's foremost destinations as well as many of the principal
airports in the remainder of the Caribbean islands. The Luis

car rentals, money exchange services and credit card companies.
International flights out of Puerto Rico's major airports are subject to Homeland Security inspection guidelines, and to a Department of Agriculture inspection of luggage. International passengers are usually advised that they should arrive at the airport three to four hours before their flight, in order to reduce the possibility of missed flights due to delays in the security inspections. |
