www.dollarman.com About Puerto Rico: dress fashions |
|
The mild weather year-round promotes the use of cool fabrics, short sleeves and short pants and skirts. The slight drop in temperature at night might require light jackets and longer hemlines. The winter months are generally five to ten degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the summer. Even then, outdoor wear does not require any significant wardrobe change. At most white collar jobs, higher-echelon male executives wear tie and jacket. Females dress accordingly. If you are moving all your belongings to Puerto Rico, be sure to consider your storage needs for any Fall and Winter clothes you may have. Prolonged storage will require moth-proofing and also protection from tropical moisture. There are specialized companies which provide this type of service. Your employer may reimburse the cost of this service as part of your moving expenses. Also, some of those costs may be deductible in your income tax returns. Be aware that local laws require that females must wear some sort of "tops". Also, some public places may not allow topless men or men in sleeveless shirts.
