Many sources are available to help finance business enterprises in Puerto Rico.

The Economic Development Administration (Administraci&0acute;n de Fomento Económico), telephone (787) 758-4747, is a good source of preliminary information on the subject.

The Small Business Administration, an agency of the Federal government, is another likely source of preliminary information. Telephone (787) 766-5572.

Local banks and financial institutions should also be considered. Some of them work in coordination with the Small Business Administration and other government agencies. Find them under Bancos and Financiamiento in the Yellow Pages.

Many of the larger municipalities sponsor some type of economic development program which in many cases include financial assistance. Contact City Hall (Alcaldía Municipal in your city for information.
