Guacamole
Garlic and avocado sauce
(salsa de aguacate)

Ingredients:

  • the flesh from two avocados
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (or two tbsp lime juice)
  • 1/3 cup crushed garlic
  • 1 small onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1/3 cup ripe tomato, chopped
  • dish with cover, just large enough to hold the finished product

    Procedure:
    Avocadoes tend to change color when exposed to air. To minimize this, add lemon or lime juice to the avocado flesh as soon as the meat is removed from the avocadoes.

    Add the remaining ingredients and mash together. Refrigerate, covered, until ready to use.
