Natilla
(cornstarch custard)

Ingredients:
(serves 2 or more)

2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon Maizena&174; cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Procedure:

Combine salt, sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Add a small amount of milk and stir to form a smooth paste. Add the remainder of the milk. Place over medium heat and stir continuously. Continue stirring until it begins to boil, then stir for another minute. Add vanilla.

Remove and pour in large container or individual dessert containers. Allow to cool. Chill before serving.
