A parador or country inn is one economical
way to visit the interior of Puerto Rico. Each parador is
independently owned and operated. The Government of Puerto Rico,
through its Tourism Company, sponsors the parador program and has
been responsible for its development throughout the last twenty-five
years or so. There are about twenty-two paradores in the program
with new ones added often.
The following is a list of Paradores, town or city where each is located and their respective telephone numbers. The list was updated on March 13, 2000. 7% room tax is not included in the rates posted.

Rates range from around $90 to $125 per night for one or two persons; $20 additional per night for a third and fourth person.

This parador with 48 rooms features the oldest thermal bath in the Western Hemisphere. Rates range from around $75 for a single room to $80 for a double room. Two children allowed for free in a double room.
Boquemar - Cabo Rojo - (787) 851-2158
75 rooms, swimming pool, and located near the beaches of Cabo Rojo. Two adults and two children under twelve can take advantage of a $260 rate for 3 days and 2 nights with two breakfasts and two dinners included.

32 rooms within walking distance of the city of Aguadilla. Rates range from $45 per night for a single, $50 for a double and $75 for villas.

Twenty rooms located high in the mountains of Utuado. Rates range from $75 to $85 per night.
