San Sebastián, Puerto Rico

San Sebastián de las Vegas del Pepino, as named originally in 1752, throughout the years saw its name shortened to San Sebastián.

San Sebastián is one of the mountain towns that has benefited most from road reconstructions in the 1990's. All roads leading into San Sebastián have been improved considerably, making a trip from San Juan much shorter, much faster and certainly much safer.

The patron saint for San Sebastián is "San Sebastián Mártir", celebrated on January 20.

San Sebastián's neighbors include Lares to the east on PR Road 111 and Moca to the west on that same road. Las Marías is south on PR Road 119.
