Yabucoa is a coastal town located about ten minutes south of Humacao and some twenty minutees north of Maunabo, both on PR Road #3. Yabucoa has around 40,000 inhabitants, many of them rural. Its land area includes some of the largest sugar cane plantations that remain on the island. The patron saint for Yabucoa is "Los ángeles custodios" and "Santa Ana". Patron saints day is celebrated on October 2nd.
Palmas de Lucía (787) 893-4423- parador (country inn) in Yabucoa's beachside offers rooms with air conditioning, cable tv, Swimming pool. Rates range from $74 per night for a single or double, to $92 per night for a suite for two persons. The Parador is minutes away from Palmas del Mar Resort and Casino.
